Annika Wiebe

Annika is currently a medical student at Dalhousie University. Prior to medical school, she completed a Master of Public Health from Brock University, where she conducted research on aging and the quality of work life in long-term care homes in partnership with the NS Centre on Aging. She then worked as a health promoter at Nova Scotia Public Health, participating in policy work on healthy communities, food systems implementation, and seniors’ wellbeing.  

With previous work experience at Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Charlottetown PEI, and the Canadian Skin Cancer Foundation, Annika is passionate about population and preventative health and encouraging healthy behaviors. 

Her current project is exploring the prevalence of guideline directed therapy use in COPD populations, and other related clinical characteristics involved in COPD treatment. 

In her free time, you can find Annika playing tennis, reading, or walking her dog, Lucy.
