David Yabar

David is a statistician with a master's degree in computer science and specializes in applications of statistics and machine learning. After gaining experience on the team by collaborating on different projects, he’s starting a PhD in Epidemiology at Dalhousie University.

His graduate research focuses on understanding and improving the diagnosis of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), analyzing the relationship between structural conditions of the lungs and their functional effects.

David grew up in Peru, and in his free time, David can be found playing fútbol (soccer), enjoying the outdoors, or reading with a cup of coffee.
